Alkaline phosphatase (ALP) catalyzes the hydrolysis of phosphate esters in alkaline buffer and produces an organic radical and inorganic phosphate. The changes in alkaline phosphatase level and activity are associated with various diseases in the liver and bone. BioVision provides convenient fluorometric and colorimetric Alkaline Phosphatase Assay Kits. Both assays are highly sensitive, simple, direct and HTS-ready for measuring ALP activity in serum and other biological samples. Results can be analyzed by colorimetric plate reader (λmax = 405 nm) or fluorescence plate reader (Ex/Em = 360/440 nm).
